A collection of food related thefts. From hamburglers to cheese smugglers, these are some GTA worthy heists.

Got any cheese? Sure, how about 42,000 pounds of muenster? Not just stolen, but loaded on to an 18 wheeler by the Amish community it belonged to in Wisconsin, pulling off an insane cheese con. Providing fake paperwork, this Illinois cheese thief was caught on the New Jersey Turnpike, March 2013. -

Don't tell me you haven't heard of the Mozzarella Mafia? Smugglers could earn up to 2,000 a run from America to Canada, and the department investigating the crimes discovered involvement by some of their own officers. This has been going on for years, and millions of pounds of illegal cheese have been expected to top Canadian pizzas. -

October, 2012, 80,000 pounds of walnuts go missing, worth 300,000. Walnuts are one of the most common high profile food heist items. -

November, 2013, bandits make off with 400,000 worth of Walnuts. This is the latest in a string of walnut thefts over the last few years. There is some speculation that the thefts may be related to an organized crime ring. So far, police have been unable to crack the case. -

August, 2012, 600 barrels of maple syrup is stolen from Quebec. 6 million pounds, worth a staggering 18 million US dollars. Thankfully, the sticky bandits were eventually caught, and my pancakes are no longer in danger. -

Wheres the beef? 40,000 pounds of beef was stolen from a truck yard in Ontario, September 2013. -

40,000 pounds was stolen with a truck in Pasco Co, Florida, October 2007. Who is buying all this cheap delicious black market beef? -

3,000 cases in a container set for an overseas market disappeared from a truck yard in April, 2013. The cases contained 100,000 in ground beef patties. The hamburgler was seen driving away with California plates but has yet to be caught. -

26,000 pounds of chicken wings were snatched in January of 2013, worth 65,000, just in time for the Superbowl. I can't even fathom how many chickens that is, but its one hell of a party. These men were caught but the wings appear to have flown the coop. -

September 2011, three men made off with 15,000 worth of Toblerone in Essex, London. -

18 tons of chocolate was lifted from a factory in Austria, November 2012. The truck driver loaded 33 pallets of milk chocolate bars onto his trailer, using false documentation. The reaL truck showed up sometime after and the theft was discovered but the thief had already gotten away. -

Students of Columbia University are absolutely nuts for Nutella, costing the college over 5,000 a week, at over 100 pounds. The university could not be sure how much was being hoarded away by students, but discovered additional thefts including loaves of bread, bottles of ketchup, and more. -

Then in April of 2013, 5 tons of Nutella was heisted from Ferrero, in Germany where it is made. Valued at nearly 21,000, this massive amount is still only a months supply for the students of Columbia U. -

Like opening a can of beans, thieves cut into a truck to steal a haul from a driver while he slept. They made off with more than 6,000 cans of Heinz baked beans in October 2013. -

Tomatoes have been a target for some time, and in March of 2011 a group of bandits made off with 6 truckloads, 40,000 pounds of tomatoes worth 300,000. They were also able to pack in some meat. -

Two men were arrested after 50,000 pounds of soybeans were jacked from Weiner, Arkansas, in August of 2013. The beans were valued at 26,000. The men were probably innocent, trying to save good hard working Americans from the terror of GMOs, but thats just like my opinion, man. -

GMO corn is poison, but that didn't stop a Kansas man from taking 12 million pounds of corn from a feed mill that the man worked at, over a period of two years. The thefts were valued at over 1.5 million dollars. -

Moscow, Russia, New Years Eve, 2005. Thieves make off with 470,00 worth, or 22 tons of caviar. I seriously don't know why people eat that stuff. Its terrible. -

July, 2010, 980 cartons of bananas worth 15,000 was stolen from an auction in Vineland, NJ. -

April, 2013, 75,000 of Campbells Soup was stolen at a truck stop in Florida. The truck had GPS in it and the man was caught quickly, though he probably didn't know what was in the trailer when he stole it. Mmm Mmm Dumb! -

Another big case in April of 2013 was a coffee theft in Germany, stolen right off the back of a truck. The coffee was valued at 39,000. -

In April of 2004, 150 cases of Budweiser was swiped from a railroad car in Butte, Montana, worth about 2,000. -

Seems like a small time caper compared to a string of raids in a Budweiser factory, while over several months from late 2012 through early 2013 a security guard allowed his friends to run rampant in the warehouse while he turned the cameras away, heisting over 100,000 in subpar beverages. Thanks, bud! -

Whats easier than taking candy from a baby? Taking cookies from Girl Scouts. In February of 2013, 450 cases of cookies was stolen from a storage facility, worth almost 19,000. Thats a lot of thin mints. -

November 2013, 30,000 worth of dog food was stolen in Atlanta, Georgia. Its food, it counts. -

In August 2012, Germans were drinking 34,000 cans worth of stolen Red Bull when 20 pallets decided to grow wings. The loss is estimated at 47,000. -
27.
60,000 bottles of wine were stolen from a warehouse in Sydney, Australia, March of 2013. The value of the wine was around 500,000. Im not saying it was shylilazn but she doesn't have a job and she's always drunk. Just a thought.
