The world is full of all different types of cuisines and cultures. What seems like everyday normal food to some, might be considered weird and extreme by others.
Some places have delicacies that seem like they are straight-up nasty. Here is a list of bizarre and questionable foods You should probably avoid at all costs.

Fugu. A Japanese delicacy, this blowfish requires special training to properly handle and people still die every year from its consumption.

Pangium edule. A nut that’s common in South Asian cuisine with seeds that contains hydrogen cyanide.

Igunaq. A traditional dish of the Arctic indigenous people, this fermented meat (walrus or deer) can contain botulism.

Crow meat pie. Apparently this is real and obviously causes infections.

Casu marzu. Translated to “rotten cheese” this foul creation has actual maggots in it (yum!) and can cause allergic reactions, food poisoning, and, not surprisingly, larvae infection.

Feseekh. An Egyptian delicacy of fermented fish that’s dangerous enough to get a warning from the Ministry of Health.

Although having a long-held reputation as being poisonous with potential fatalities, the Ackee fruit arils are renowned as delicious when ripe, prepared properly, and cooked and are a feature of various Caribbean cuisines. Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica and is considered a delicacy.

Bullfrog. The legs can be harmless when cooked properly but the skin and organs are poisonous.

Carambola. It does have a lot of Vitamin C but carambola carries a high level of oxalic acid and can cause kidney problems.

Monkey brains. Consumption can lead to a degenerative brain disease. Ironic.

Raw blood soup. Yes it's real and is exactly what it sounds like. This is can be found in Vietnamese cuisine and lead to flu and other diseases.
