Folk legends Simon & Garfunkel ruled the 60s, providing a mellow, sometimes melancholic acoustic sound that caught the attention of the public. Their relationship became fraught, though, leading to a falling out and eventual breakup in 1970. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel largely went their separate ways in the 70s, with a few reunions and collaborations peppered throughout.
