70s driving for modern dummies.

The 1970s are a memorable year for car fans, ‘cause driving felt a lot more real than it does today. Most sports cars came with manual transmissions, meaning you had to do all the work yourself using a clutch and stick.
People who drove stick back then had a challenge on their hands but they also had a lot of fun. The “just drive” vibes weren’t a thing yet, you had to pay attention and coordinate your moves carefully.
It was still an experience, but a different one for sure and the cars from that time reflect that. A time when things were more simple and driving was way more complicated and cooler than now.
Here are some of the classic sport rides from the 1970s that needed someone in control of all three pedals before they could be driven.
