John Belushi's Bluto from 1978's Animal House is one of the 70s' most iconic comedic characters.

The movie is a caricature of over the top fraternity culture, and no character embodies that spirit quite like Bluto. Equal parts gross, endearing, and inspiring, Bluto has many memorable moments and quotable lines.

Here are our picks for John Belushi's 15 best scenes from Animal House.

    Downing a bottle of whiskey.

After yelling distraughtly that “they took the bar,” Bluto happily downs an entire bottle of Jack Daniels.
