At Monday night’s Met Gala, Kendall Jenner shocked crowds in the most revealing dress at the event.

The supermodel stunned at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in a practically naked ‘dress’, with a huge cut-out across her chest and stomach, and thigh-high split.

No fabric material was used in the making of it.

From the back, the dress was completely sheer except for her black couture G-string, designed by luxe lingerie label La Perla and “made from one piece of string”.

Almost immediately, Kendall started receiving backlash for the look, with some very wrongly slut-shaming her for showing skin.

The other side of the critique, however, involves the origin about the look.

On Twitter, some users pointed out that Kendall’s dress looks very similar to the outfit that ’90s icon Rose McGowan famously wore to the MTV VMAs in 1998.

After the formalities ended, the 21-year-old swapped into another outfit.
