There’s so many legendary photos we know everything about and that we can distinguish by just looking at them, and then there are some lesser known photos that tell us incredible stories of moments we didn’t know anything about.

Pack Horse librarians of Appalachia, 1930s
During the Great Depr*ssion, the Pack Horse Library Project was launched, sending librarians on horses into the remote mountains of Kentucky to deliver books, magazines, and educational materials to families who had no access to reading.
