There's something about a firework that captures the American spirit. It's explosive, colorful, diverse, dangerous, temporary, and more expensive than you might think.
But while closer looks at America might reveal some concerning cracks, examining fireworks under a microscope uncovers brand new beauty. Who knew explosions could be so utterly beautiful? Well, American of course. (Even though they were invented in ancient China.)
