Amid all the celebrations surrounding former President Jimmy Carter's historic birthday on Tuesday — the nostalgic posts, the events in his hometown of Plains, Georgia and of course, the innaguration of the Jimmy Cart weed pen — there's one element Americans forgot to consider in while ringing in the politician's 100th year: The fact that he's 100 years old. 

Shortly after the U.S. Navy concucted their celebratory flyover above Carter's home, CBS News uploaded footage of the family affair, depicting a very elderly Carter being pushed in a wheelchair and sitting with his mouth agape, a clip that earned a resounding "wow, he really is 100 years old" from folks on social media.
