THE dancing baby- accept no imitations

Slap bracelets, we loved them, we slapped them, some idiot slit her wrists and suddenly they were banished from the face of the earth. This was the beginning of the, "if it hurts one we must banish it from existence" idealogy.

Not the momma! This show was just so addictive- not a cartoon, not real people, and the baby was just hysterical. They don't make shows like this anymore.

And who will ever forget dialing up to aol, finally getting a page to load for homework research, and then your Mawmaw calling (and hanging up repeatedly because she knew it would "boot you off." )

This was supposed to fund our college and retirement funds- collectibles, worth gobs of money.

I had a friend who filled her blow ups with helium from her dad's tank. To sit on them you had to pull them down (she said it conserved valuable floor space....)

And who can forget the annoying sound ICQ made when someone messaged you. It sounded like "uhoh!" Then there were the bots you could message- SmarterChild.

These were spying on us and recording our every move for the government.... I have no idea which branch wanted to collect data on children interacting with a toy, but it does make sense since they enjoy wasting tax dollars. Still, mine definitely showed symptoms of possession, so I won't rule anything out.

No idea what the lyrics actually said other than "HEYYYY MACARENA- AYEEE!" and everyone did the dance on the tables of Joe's Crabshack.

Who didn't drop at least one in the toilet? I think our school janitor spent more time fishing those things out that year than actually cleaning.

I have no idea what these are, they came later in the '90s or were more for the boys?
