Immediately after delivering his victory speech for the California Democratic Primary, Robert F. Kennedy was shot and killed in the Ambassador Hotel on June 5th, 1968.
Following a funeral in New York, Kennedy's casket took a trip by train on June 8th to its final resting place in Washington, D.C., with Northeast Corridor citizens of all kinds taking to the train tracks to pay their respects.
