Alright so, Bhutan is covered in dick pics. But they’re strangely beautiful, well-done paintings and they’re a religious symbol. Turns out, when you got caught drawing these on the bathroom stall, you should’ve just worked really hard on it, and said it was for God.

The story goes, a Buddhist monk named Drukpa Kunley lived in Bhutan in the thirteenth century, and he liked to have a good time. His “organ” was apparently called the “Thunderbolt of Flaming Wisdom,” because it warded off demonesses and brought good luck. After that, Drukpa started drawing it everywhere, and the trend caught on.

The images remain and are just a part of everyday life there. Now they sell beautiful sculptures of it, use it on signs, and promote it as a weird tourist attraction.
