Typically the concept of a promotion goes hand in hand with a pay raise. After all, with greater responsibility should come greater compensation. But the exact opposite was true for one worker on the r/antiwork subreddit, who was asked to take a pay cut along with his promotion while transitioning from hourly to salaried.

According to management, all other salaried employees had taken a pay cut to help the company stay open. Understandably our OP declined. Between a failing business and this ridiculous request, it's definitely time for a new job.
