Every time you want to roll your eyes at one of those "in Russia" jokes, this happens. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a man with no shirt on chasing off a bear with a stick. Or "Tuesday" as they call it in St. Petersburg. "In Russia, bear runs from you." OK, we're done.

This week in Google Maps Adventures, the Google Street View car does battle with the scuba people of Bergen, Norway. It was an epic battle. Fish were thrown, bubbles were burst. The Google Street View car fought valiantly but was forced into a hasty retreat. You win this time Norwegian scuba dudes, you win this time...

Was "The Hills Have Eyes" a documentary? If so, we're pretty sure Google Maps found the original location. Or maybe this is just the world's worst place to run out of gas. Either way, we haven't seen such a good excuse for a sudden mid-road u-turn in a long time.

Google Maps has caught a baby in the middle of a leisurely stroll downtown. He's just picked up a pacifier at Gucci on sale. He's going to catch up with some friends and have a latte before heading back home. There's absolutely no reason to panic. He's got everything under control.

Oh, Look! The Google Street View car seems to have stumbled upon a town that's right in the middle of being taken over by pigeon people. On a completely unrelated matter, this was the last image ever captured by this particular vehicle. We're sure everything's fine.

Oh look, two Ronin meeting on the streets of Portland to battle to the death. Busy Google Street View car is on a mission and can't stop. Too bad, we'd love to know how this little skirmish played out. Those foam swords look sharp.

For years, prospectors have been travelling to California in search of gold. Some get lucky. Some toil in the hot sun for years and return penniless. What will the future hold for this man fearlessly mining for nuggets on Wilshire, blvd? Inexhaustible wealth? Or frustration and broken dreams? God speed brave prospector, God speed.

What the heck, Waldo? Every time we try to find you, you're hiding in a huddle of people also wearing horizontally striped shirts. But when the Google Street View car drives by, you just stand on the sidewalk looking coy. We hope you enjoy your 15 minutes of internet fame...jerk.
