    1,296 Years Old Hoshi Inn, Japan. a ryokan Japanese traditional inn in the Awazu Onsen area of Komatsu, in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 718, it is the worlds oldest hotel still in operation according to the Guinness World Records and the worlds oldest continuously operating company after the liquidation of Kong333 Gumi in 2006. The hotel has been operated by the same family for forty-six generations.

    1,210 Years Old St. Peters Resteraunt, Austria. St. Peters is a restaurant within the monastery walls of St. Peters Archabbey, Salzburg. It is claimed to be the oldest inn in Central Europe because of a document mentioning it in 803 AD. Stiftskeller St. Peter is known to be the oldest continuously operating restaurant and inn on the Earth, and its website states Genuine Salzburg hospitality for over 1200 years.

The Royal Mint of the United Kingdom previously the principal mint of the Kingdom of England is the body permitted to manufacture, or mint, coins in the United Kingdom. The Mint originated over 1,100 years ago, but has functioned since 1975 as a Trading Fund, operating in much the same way as a government-owned company. It now has executive agency status, and is currently undergoing the process of being converted into a Government-owned business. The Royal Mint as a body reports to HM Treasury, though departmental day-to-day responsibilities are handled by the Shareholder Executive.

    974 Years Old -Marinelli Bell Foundry, Italy.The Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli or Marinelli Pontifical Foundry, Marinelli Bell Foundry is the successor of a bell foundry already at work in Agnone, Italy in 1040. The bell foundry is considered Italys oldest family business and among the three oldest family businesses worldwide. In addition to a bell foundry, it is an artisan foundry that produces bronze portals, bas-reliefs, church artifacts, and bell restorations.

    974 Years Old The Weihenstephan Brewery. The Weihenstephan Brewery can trace its roots at the abbey to the year 768, as a document from that year refers to a hop garden in the area paying a tithe to the monastery. A brewery was actually licensed by the City of Freising in 1040, and that is the founding date claimed by todays modern brewery. The brewery thus has a credible claim to being the oldest working brewery in the world. Weltenburg Abbey, also in Bavaria, was founded around 620, and also claims to be the oldest brewery in the world. When the monastery and brewery were secularised under Napoleon Bonaparte in 1803, they became possessions of the State of Bavaria.

    973 Years Old The Wieliczka Salt Mine, Poland. The Wieliczka Salt Mine, located in the town of Wieliczka in southern Poland, lies within the Krakw metropolitan area. The mine continuously produced table salt from the 13th century until 2007 as one of the worlds oldest operating salt mines the oldest being the Bochnia Salt Mine. It is believed to be the worlds 14th-oldest company still in operation. The mines attractions for tourists include dozens of statues and an entire chapel that has been carved out of the rock salt by the miners. About 1.2 million people visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine annually. Commercial mining was discontinued in 1996 due to low salt prices and mine flooding.
