The Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper was one of the very first toys to include a fireable missile with it. A 4-year-old boy once shot the toy missile into his mouth, and eventually choked to death on it. Since then, any toy with parts smaller than a baseball was required to have a choking hazard warning on the box.

When this toy was released in 2007, it allowed kids to dust for fingerprints, which sounds like fun! Unfortunately, the dust used to find these fingerprints were full of asbestos. The dust was apparently up to 7 percent tremolite, one of the most dangerous forms of asbestos. The toy wasn't pulled from the shelf until the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization filed a lawsuit to stop sales of the kit.

Lawn Darts were really meant for adults, but that doesn't mean it was just adults playing with them. Some estimates say the force of a thrown lawn dart is 23,000 pound of pressure per inch in other words, a lawn dart thrown at you could pierce the skull. Hundreds of injuries and three deaths were credited to the game, and they were banned by the government in 1988.

The Snacktime Cabbage Patch Kid "ate" pieces of plastic food by using a motor in its mouth. However, the doll didn't eat just the plastic pieces of food that came with it, and on multiple occasions, it would try to eat fingers and hair of their human owners. Mattel issued a voluntary recall not long after.

More than 30 million Slip 'N Slides have been sold since it first came out more than 50 years ago. However, the Consumer Product Safety Commission started issuing warnings about Slip 'N Slides. Several teens and adults were injured using the toy, including neck injuries and paralyzation. The toy was pulled from the market for a bit, and returned in 2000, emphasizing a warning that it was meant only for ages 5 to 12.
