Earlier today, NASCAR
released a statement announcing they would not allow any Confederate flags to be shown or waved around at any future races.
This decision came soon after the Black race car driver Bubba Wallace
announced he would be driving a car with decals in support of Black Lives Matter.
While an outright ban on Confederate flags in almost any other gathering wouldn't really be necessary, because most folks don't walk around waving Confederate flags, NASCAR fans

has been popular with many NASCAR fans for years, and they're feeling pretty salty about seeing it go. But the majority of people are glad that NASCAR is removing the outdated symbol from their sport.
