In an effort to help out small businesses, mainly restaurants and bars, Yelp partnered with GoFundMe to allow users to donate money to them with just one click of a button from the businesses Yelp page. While this seems like a great and wholesome idea, there's evidence that Yelp and/or GoFundMe were setting a default "tip" on these listings which is how they make money off them. Yelp never let any of these places know this was happening, and when they found out shit started hitting the fan.
