20k Direct Deposit Into a Slot Machine Is Crazy Work

Being retired looks sick.

There’s been a lot of talk about the decline in Las Vegas tourism. But that doesn’t mean retired people are giving up on their dreams of hitting a jackpot. This dude, who was filmed making a $20,000 direct deposit into a slot machine, certainly still believes. Let me say that again so it can really sink in: A nameless dude was filmed making a $20,000 deposit into a slot machine.

That’s insane, no matter how you slice it.

If you don’t know, slot machines have something called an RTP (return-to-player) ratio, which is a calculation of how much a player will win on a fixed bet. The standard RTP for most casinos is 96 percent, meaning if you play $100, you’ll make $96 back.

So while this man has “increased” her chance to win a major jackpot, he’s guaranteed to at least lose $800.
