A Car in Germany Flew Off the Road, Bounced Off a Trampoline and Then Smashed Into a House

We promise this isn’t the plot of a Looney Tunes cartoon.

In the small town of Bohmte, Germany, residents are now reeling from an utterly ridiculous incident that has left two people seriously injured.

For reasons still unknown, a driver veered off a road at a high speed, crashing into a parked car before shooting through a hedge. The car then fell five feet into someone’s backyard — where it landed on a trampoline.

Somehow, either due to the trampoline, the layout of the land or both, the car bounced off the trampoline and into a nearby barn, lodging itself into the building about 10 feet off the ground.

Again, two people were seriously injured: the woman in the driver’s passenger seat, and a child who was playing on the trampoline at the time. Everyone else involved — including the driver and three children in the back of the car — escaped with only minor injuries.

The case is currently being investigated.
