Today, the sky is falling.

Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas were all treated to a daytime light show yesterday when a meteor burned up entering the Earth’s atmosphere. There was only one report of heavy damage in Henry County, Georgia; otherwise, the fireball was nothing more than an impromptu midday light show for many in the Southeast.
Events like this aren’t as rare as you might think. According to NASA, this meteor was number 681 on the year. But nonetheless, it was pretty cool to see.
Though for many of our Southern brethren, it was a sign of the end of the world. Hurry, run for shelter, Jesus is coming back in 24 hours.
@abcnews Fireball sightings were reported in multiple states across the southeastern U.S. during the day on Thursday. The American Meteor Society said it received over 140 reports of fireball sightings Thursday over six states — Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. #news#fireball♬ original sound - ABC News
