A photographer in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand was on the beach when he discovered something strange. Looking out into the ocean, he saw what appeared to be a seal — surfing.

That’s right — while the seal wasn’t using a board, it seemed to be riding the waves just for the sake of doing so, even doing some jumps in the process. Given how easily it rode the waves, it was clear that doing this wasn’t new for the seal and that, apparently, they love catching a wave as much as we do.
