Bada** YouTuber Demonstrates How to Escape Zip Ties and Flex Cuffs
Because this is the world we live in, self-proclaimed DIY and tech enthusiast Naomi Wu shows us how to escape if you're detained with zip ties and/or flex cuffs.
As sad as it sounds, we've seen enough TV shows a la 'CSI', 'Law & Order SVU', 'Criminal Minds', pretty much any crime show will tell you what men are capable of doing to women. It's sickening.
Enter Naomi. Her YouTube channel is filled with DIY videos, but arguably none more important than this one. In the video she demonstrates multiple escape tactics, including how to use a hair barrette and other personal items.
The short version is that you can use pretty much anything readily available (bra wiring, a hanger, a hair clip, etc...) in order to cause separation between the zip tie/cuff clamps.
Obviously nobody ever expects to be in a position to need to use these tactics, but it never hurts to keep them in the back of your mind.
