After Years of Trying, Someone Finally Recreated the ‘Boston Slide Cop’ Viral Video
It’s difficult, but possible.

It’s not often someone screws up so badly while on the job that they end up with their own Wikipedia article, but that’s what happened to the Boston Slide Cop.
In 2023, a police officer was filmed going down a slide at Boston City Hall Plaza — only to get violently rattled around inside before being launched out the bottom. The clip instantly became a meme, and soon dozens went to the slide to see if they could recreate the man’s incredible tumble. Sadly, none could pull it off — until today.
That’s right: two years after it happened, we finally have someone who got preeeeetty close to the cop’s original slide. In the video, a man gets loudly banged up by the slide before being power-ejected outwards, closing the video out with a laugh.
Is it missing some crucial elements, such as the magazine being ejected out of the officer’s service arm? Of course. Still, it’s pretty magical to see the legend of the Cop Slide live on.
Brings me so much joy to let you all know that someone was finally able to successfully recreate the cop slide video pic.twitter.com/R7qAdW0SSv
