Ben Shapiro, who was set to appear at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, on Wednesday had his event postponed, though he said in a statement, that Kirk’s death won’t stop his public speaking, vowing “to pick up that bloodstained microphone where Charlie left it.”

Hasan Piker, a progressive Twitch streamer, who had plans to debate Kirk at Dartmouth College on September 25th was visibly upset as he reacted to Kirk’s death live on stream. Piker was silent for a full 30 seconds with his hand over his mouth after he witnessed the video of Kirk’s death, before muttering, “I really don’t know what to say.” He went on to say that as someone who goes out to “public settings all the time, there is a level of closeness” that he feels when thinking about his own safety.

Meanwhile, Adin Ross, a popular Kick streamer, who already has a bulletproof van that he showed off on stream months ago, said on stream yesterday that he is “done baiting people and doesn’t want any smoke.” Ross, who had Trump on his stream in the run-up to the 2024 election said that he “has to be very, very smart how he moves.”

Similarly, Myron Gaines, the co-host of the Fresh and Fit Podcast, allegedly canceled an appearance he had planned for today to also debate college kids on an unnamed campus, after his friends and chat urged him to do so for “his own safety” and out of respect for Kirk.
