There’s been lots of talk of asteroids recently. Most notably by Harvard physicist Avi Loeb, who thinks an asteroid floating through our solar system is actually an alien spaceship coming to take us out. (It probably isn’t.)

Or maybe you’ve heard about the “city killer” asteroid NASA identified that has a four percent chance of hitting the moon in 2023. Scientists think it could send Moon dust into our atmosphere and could potentially take out thousands of satellites.

The good news is, the footage NASA released is neither an alien race coming to wipe us out, nor is it a global communications-disrupting event, it’s just a fun video of an asteroid crashing into the moon.

And who doesn’t love a video of a massive collision in space? I certainly do.
