While Boeing may have left the news, its planes haven’t left the skies — and, honestly, that’s kind of a problem. Although Boeing has promised to improve its planes and services, that doesn’t change the fact that there are still a whole bunch of Boeing planes flying around the skies today, and many of those planes are prone to failure.
On May 27th, a flight to the U.S. on United had to be canceled after an incident with the plane. What was that incident, you ask? Well, as you can see in the video below, one of the engines violently failed and burst into flames, resulting in the airplane being hit with fire-suppression foam and passengers getting rebooked.
Remember, when you’re planning your upcoming vacation, fly Airbus!
Dramatic footage shows US-bound Boeing 777 accelerating along the runway before suffering a right engine failure - forcing the flight to be abandoned.
