Bishop Shames Woman in Front of Entire Church for Donating $1,200 Instead of $2,000
You’d think he’d be thankful for any money at all in this economy.

Pastor Marvin Winans is facing criticism after a video went viral showing him publicly scolding a member of his congregation. The reason? She gave $1,200 — when he really wanted $2,000.
The incident occurred during the Winans’ “Day of Giving” service, where internet users say the pastor encouraged members to donate what he called “$1,000 plus 1.” Some interpreted this as $1,000 plus whatever additional amount they could give, while others assumed it meant $1,000 plus $1,000.
Turns out, the latter is what Pastor Winans had in mind.
When a woman came up with her offering of $1,000 plus $235, he immediately told her off. “That’s only $1,200,” he said. When the woman tried to explain, he responded, “You’re not listening to what I’m saying. If you have $1,000 plus $1,000…”
At this moment, the woman interjected to say that she would have the $800 later.
“Well, that ain’t what I asked you to do,” Winans stated.
I expect this kind of reaction when I hit the “No Tip” button at my local coffee shop, but at Church?!
