As a government, it’s hard to engage your community. You can set up anything you’d like — an ice cream social, a Fourth of July celebration, a Halloween pumpkin carve-a-thon — and all the average, everyday citizen is going to ask you is “Why haven’t you fixed the roads yet?” Because we’ve been working on the pumpkin event, duh!

In Brazil, one mayor has decided that the best course of action to get the community engaged is to meet them where they’re at. And where they’re “at” is “horny for goth women.” (Who can blame them?)

So, he decided that he would host a community event in which you can go ice skating with goth girls.
