The top country song in America is AI-generated, and while that is terrible for many reasons, it makes total sense that the first AI-generated song to top Billboard’s charts would be a country song (sorry, country fans).

If you haven’t already heard “Walk My Walk” by Breaking Rust, take my word for it, it’s not worth three and a half minutes of your life. Unless you want to hear an AI croon about having mud on his jeans and being a “midnight flame burning through the dark.”

Breaking Rust is sadly the first of many AI-generated artists who will inevitably top the charts. But that doesn’t mean we have to like it.
