The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is in full swing and there is no shortage of harrowing tales and terrifying footage. The entire world is watching to see what Putin and the Russian military's next move will be but most of us aren't too hopeful it will be a good one. Our thoughts go out to the innocent people and civilians of Ukraine being affected by this full-on assault of their country.

In this dashcam footage, we see a man driving through a fairly quiet town. His peaceful drive doesn't last very long, however, because out of nowhere, like a scene out of an action movie, mortar shells start raining down all around the driver's car.

This Ukrainian driver is lucky to be alive after successfully swerving his way through a hellscape of exploding Russian mortar shells. It's hard for anyone to defend these actions by Russian, just indiscriminately firing on residential and civilian areas.
