Massive Brawl on Carnival Cruise Was Allegedly Over ‘Chicken Tenders’

As a chicken tender fan myself, I definitely understand what all the fuss is about.

Carnival Cruise has made a concerted effort to change its public perception from being a “cheap” cruise line, full of fights and loud music, by installing a new set of guidelines called “Have Fun. Be Safe” rules.

They ban a number of things that may sound odd to outsiders, but are apparently causing problems for travellers — including non-electric handheld fans and drinks on the dance floor — as well as installing a 1 a.m. curfew for unaccompanied minors. They also placed a new structure around reserving poolside lounge chairs, stating that claimed chairs will be cleared if they aren’t actively being occupied.

But apparently, they shouldn’t have stopped there because video of a brawl on one of their ships has been making the rounds, and the culprit wasn’t a handheld fan or drink on the dance floor — it was a chicken tender.

According to the New York Post, at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday, roughly two dozen people got into all-out fisticuffs over an argument about said chicken tender, all of which was caught on camera by Bronx content creator, Mike Terra.

Needless to say, everything isn’t always sunshine and sunsets on the open seas.
