There are some words that have completely lost their original meaning. For example, if you said you were “gay” to a man of yore, they would just assume you were having a really good time.

Then, there are some words that *technically* have multiple meanings, but one of those meanings should be retired. For example, the word “pussy.” Can it mean cat? Sure, I guess. Does anyone associate it with cats anymore? Hell no — and someone should tell that to this childrens’ toy manufacturer!
