China Launches World’s First Robot Soccer League
How can I bet on this?

China continues to be the world’s leading innovator in technology, which on the surface sounds fun, but is really either boring or incredibly dangerous. Case in point: Flying taxis. They sound great — until you’re 3,000 feet in the air and your driver is having an argument with his wife.
Or robot soccer. In theory, I’m all for it, but when robo-goalies with precision tracking systems block shot after shot, watching a 0-0 soccer match will be even more boring than it already is.
NEW: China launches its first humanoid robot soccer league in Beijing.
