Chinese automaker Chery Automobile has apologized for an incident in which it drove one of its cars up the famous “Heavenly Stairs” on Tianmen Mountain. The apology wasn’t because they did it in the first place — it was because they totally screwed it up and crashed the car into the handrail.

Chery says that they are sorry and that they will pay for the repair of the staircase. C’mon, guys — not only did you fail, but Range Rover already did this stunt in 2018. Let’s try some originality next time!
