Chinese Gas Station Has Every Step Fully Automated by Robots

Those New Jersey gas pumpers are one step closer to being out of a job.

Every news story that comes out of China makes me feel like this country is really, really behind technologically. I’m driving to work on a road that’s falling apart that’s being monitored by a government computer system still running Windows ‘98 — meanwhile, kids in China are playing basketball with their robot friends. What gives?!?!

To add another example to the long list of American embarrassments, recently, some gas stations in China have debuted completely employee-free experiences. As in, you go up, select what gas you want and then a robot does literally everything, from opening your gas tank to filling your gas and sending you on your way.
