Boys, there’s a reason those safety bars are there!

I understand being impatient at a railroad crossing. Especially in a country where you can’t even take the train if you want to, having to sit and watch car after car of grain slowly roll by is an annoyance with which we’ve all had to deal.

Still, it’s important that you observe all posted signs about such crossings, including minding the bars that are supposed to physically prevent you from crossing. These cops were in a bit of a hurry and decided to ignore the barrier — only to promptly discover why you don’t do that.
