The Department of War Launched a Website for Generative AI and It Doesn’t Work
Thanks for nothing.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wants the military to use generative AI. The announcement, made by Hegseth on X, directs people to a new government website that supposedly equips American service members with “generative AI.”
There’s just one problem: the website doesn’t even work.
According to Hegseth, the site “puts the worlds most powerful frontier AI models directly into the hands of every American warrior.”
It’s unclear how the Department of War expects its “warriors” to use generative AI, though once the website’s bugs are fixed, maybe that picture will be clearer.
I guess no one in the history of war has tried demoralizing their enemy by creating AI-generated images of them dressed as furries. Though in our modern world, maybe it’s the right strategy.
