Every day, tech companies drop some new piece of machinery into cities that we all just have to deal with. First, it was rideshare apps. Then, it was food delivery, which populated themselves with restaurants before asking the businesses themselves if they were cool with that. Now, we have all sorts of “autonomous” robots, ranging from self-driving cars that are scared of their own shadow and food-delivery bots that don’t understand how traffic works.  

So, if these machines are going to fill our cities without our permission, shouldn’t we be allowed to repurpose them for the greater good? By which I mean, shouldn’t you be allowed to drunkenly ride a food-delivery robot to your heart’s content?
