This guy likely heard the cops at his door and hoped to stall them for as long as possible while trying to get rid of the evidence. I don't think he realized there were more cops waiting below.

We're not advising any would-be criminals, but we're pretty sure this is why criminals on TV flush the evidence down the toilet instead.
