Eminem and Snoop Dog performed at the MTVs Video Music Awards this past weekend, but the performance was not like anything you might expect. After starting their performance of "From the D 2 the LBC" with a little skit involving the rappers sitting on a couch smoking a comically large blunt, the show quickly took a turn for the strange with everything spinning into VR.

The rest of the performance until the very end was in Virtual Reality, alternating between animated versions of the two hip hop artists, and creepy looking bored apes as their avatars. The video itself was actually done pretty well considering the fact that the whole world is sick and tired of these ubiquitous apes, but in the end it's a huge shame we didn't get to actually see what sounded like a sick live performance. What's the point of even having a concert if you don't get to watch the real show?
