This is exactly what the theater needs.

Backdropped with a giant wall of dirt, two excavators tell the forbidden love story of Romeo and Juliet like it’s never been seen before — with cars flying off cliffs and excavators dancing.
An Estonian theater group has taken up an audacious task: re-telling Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but with trucks and excavators in a quarry. Paavo Piik, the co-director of the show, said it’s basically a “big experiment” to see how weird they can make one of the most famous plays of all time.
The production features buses, bulldozers, two excavators and cars being thrown off the cliff above, and while it’s surely an “unconventional” depiction of the classic tale, it looks pretty cool.
I hope they do Cats next.
@reuters Shakespeare's tale of Romeo and Juliet's forbidden love has been retold and performed countless times, but Estonian theater production company Kinoteater has found a way to make their production stand out — by quite literally taking a bulldozer to it. #theatre#romeoandjuliet#shakespeare#play#truck#culture♬ original sound - Reuters
