Ever since “thrifting” became a verb, the quality of thrift stores has really gone downhill. Prices have skyrocketed, “professional thrifters” come through and get all the good stuff before you get a chance to nab it, and in general, the whole experience is just pretty unpleasant. What gives?


It turns out, we might all just be going to the wrong places. In Vietnam, there’s a different kind of thrift store — one that’s not for the faint of heart. As this video shows, this style of thrift store involves filling a house to the literal ceiling with clothes and, well, that’s it. The experience of shopping there is really, really stressful — but at least you can get a good deal on some Levi’s!
