I’m happy to say that I don’t live in a place where I have to worry about animals. Most Americans can say that; in everyday city or suburban life, the most you’ll likely encounter is the occasional deer, turkey or, if you’re in some parts of the South, evil wild hogs.

This isn’t the case all over the world, though. For example, in some areas, you might awake to find that an elephant has broken down your door — and he’s not going away until you give him some treats!
