Man Charged With Assaulting A Federal Agent With A Subway Footlong
Authorities are calling it “assault with a deli weapon.”

A man has been charged with assaulting a federal agent with a Subway sandwich in Washington, D.C., this week after video footage of the incident went viral, showing the “Pink Shirt Guy” shouting at Customs and Border Protection agents before chucking his footlong at one of their chests and running away.
Thirty-seven-year-old Sean C. Dunn has been arrested for the act, telling police, “I did it. I threw the sandwich.” Dunn, who was released from jail pending a court date, has been charged with a felony that could land him behind bars for one to eight years. According to The New York Times, Dunn threw the sandwich because he “thought it was funny,” after he repeatedly heckled and yelled at the agents.
The hoagie didn’t appear to injure the CBP agent who was hit by it as he was wearing a Kevlar vest and full tactical gear. That said, President Trump’s directive to “clean up D.C. streets” has hit a setback as they’re now littered with pickles and mayo.
