France has taken a series of L’s in recent years. While their reputation as surrender-monkeys is pretty undeserved, their recent achievements aren’t much to write home about. Sure, they hosted the Olympics and cleaned the Seine, but it came at the cost of a million articles being written about how their capital spent generations being filled with poop water.

So, now the country is celebrating Bastille Day. How did it go? Well, a soldier was spotted bleeding violently from his ear while marching, and a horse fell while it was supposed to be moving with the parade.
