Gamer Experiences the Five Stages of Grief After Losing a Tournament
Nothing is this serious.

No one has ever crashed out as hard as KojiKOG, a 38-year-old gamer from Japan who clutched his head and screamed after losing in the semifinals at EVO 2025 while playing SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
With a $15,000 prize on the line, KojiKOG let his emotions out after being eliminated in a match that, according to Polygon, he “struggled” in from the get-go. Reaction GIFs and video of the emotional spiraling of the 38-year-old gamer have since gone viral.
It’s most likely just a bit, as most clips of the crash out cut off before the ending, where KojiKOG can be seen smiling. He didn’t leave empty-handed, though, as he was awarded $4,800 for his fourth-place finish.
As someone who grew up on fake gamer rage bait, I’m not sure what’s worse: Being a competitive gamer at 38 or attempting to rage-bait the entire internet.
I swear to God I’m not making fun of this dude but NO ONE HAS EVER LOOKED LIKE THEY SUFFERED LIKE THIS IN HUMAN HISTORY pic.twitter.com/JekIbl1F0a
