Millennials Are Roasting Gen Z for Their Dead Pan Stares

The generational war between Millennials and Gen Z is far from over.

Gen Z fired the first shots a few years ago when they started roasting Millennials for their side parts and skinny jeans, and Millennials haven’t forgotten. Gen Z thought they had landed the finishing blow when they coined the term “The Millennial Pause,” which is when Millennials wait a second after pressing record on their cellphones to ensure the video is working.

But Millennials have simply been plotting their revenge. Which brings me to the Gen Z Stare. According to creators on TikTok, the Gen Z Stare is the dead pan look Gen Z gives when working in service or when dealing with people in public. It’s akin to the Boomer Lead Paint Stare, but it’s more a byproduct of social awkwardness than licking led walls.

Have you experienced the Gen Z stare yourself? Next time you’re in a coffee shop and talking with someone under the age of 30, take note of the deadness behind their eyes.

Hey, it’s not their fault they grew up on iPads!

@conornoburst Stop deliberately misinterpreting this. It might not be all of them, but its majority of gen z customers. #genz#millennial#genzstare#genzinreallife♬ original sound - Kelsey
