Unfortunately, he was driving 140 MPH when it happened.

The country of Turkey has a legal driving speed limit of around 85 mph — but don’t tell that to its Transport Minister. That’s because the man, named Abdulkadir Uraloglu, recently posted a video in which he claimed to be surveying the country’s highway infrastructure. I assume that would be a little difficult, however, given that netizens spotted his speedometer and noted he was driving at 140 MPH at the time. Can’t assess much at that speed!

He has since apologized and noted that he was issued a 200€ ($230) fine for the crime. Still going to be the transport minister, though — he clearly loves using the roads!
