Influencers Are Now Telling You to Plastic Wrap Onions to Your Feet

If you’re coming down with a seasonal cold, you might be considering staying in bed for a few days or, I don’t know, having some medicine. If you’re one of those people, these influencers say you’re wasting your time and money. Instead, you should just, well, plastic wrap some onions to your feet.
Performing a TikTok search for “onion feet” shows a host of influencers and normies alike discussing the unending benefits of placing sliced onions on your feet and securing them with plastic wrap. They say that doing this “detoxes” your body (very funny how that word is never defined in these circumstances) as well as getting rid of inflammation and pain.
In reality, doing this will do absolutely nothing except make your feet smell like onions. Like, there is literally zero effect beyond this. It won’t help with inflammation, it won’t help with pain or sickness, and if you notice any improvement, it’s because your body naturally healed itself — not because you duct taped some leeks to your foot.
Just stick with the things we know work — like complaining loudly to anyone who will listen!
